Convection is transfer of heat due to the bulk movement of molecules in liquids such as gases and liquids. Throuh this experiment, I am attempting to explain how the process of convection takes place in water due to difference of water temperature. This research idea came to me as I wonder why water temperature in the deeper end of a swimming pool is lower than the temperature on the surface. My aim for this project is to pay attention to the rise and fall of hot and cold liquids, and investigate convection using food coloring and water at different temperatures.
