As plastic gained wide popularity since its introduction in 1970s, plastic usage has grown and as a result, so has plastic related pollutions. This has devalued marine ecosystems, caused climate change and resulted in many more. On average, we waste about 300 million tonnes of plastic per annum. For this project, we try to make biodegradable plastic that is edible, eco-friendly and easily dissolves in water. We hope to encourage more people to use biodegradable plastics to reduce plastic waste.
